Been following this blog and the Dev team pretty obsessively - am new to the iPhone (3GS)...can anyone point me to instructions on how to perform a USB dump of the current 3.0 restore?

Buster: I saw that link, but couldn't discern exactly what to do with regards to the iPhone, or, to Alexander's point, how to use the dump to restore the phone if needed in the future. Perhaps just having the dump is enough for now and we can await further instructions from GeoHot and the Dev Team if/when it's needed.
I'M completely sure that george and musclenerd will show us something interesting in short... just all us stop buggin them about when its done eheh.... damn i want donate something to them :)

I just ordered a factory unlocked 3GS from Italy. Hopefully it will arrive in time to dump the USB.

Sadly it comes at a steep price for ~900$.
But I like my freedom and not beeing forced to use any operator...
